  1. I'm 67 now and remember this game like it was yesterday. Was standing in the Spion Kop and have had many battles with away fans over the years but Leeds has a reputation of even beating girls and women up (they done this to some Blues women folk when we played Leeds at their place) so it was payback time! Once you get so many fighting age men (and boys) together like that anything could happen. Thank God the police had the horses!! KRO… all the Brummies stick together!!

  2. Carnage that day before during & after its the worse football riot there's ever been, the Luton v Millwall riot was to tame to what happened at Birmingham that day only the Bradford fire disaster took some of the headlines away from what happened

  3. Was there that day o was 17 at the time and in the kop
We were given free tickets by local youth club in sparkbrook about 1 mile from St Andrews and Birminghams zulu's ran Leeds ragged and if it wasn't for the plod there would of been even more carnage and deaths. As a 17 year old that day the memories of what i witnessed on that Saturday in May '85. Only kept out of the news by the Bradford fire. Never forget that day, truly brutal. And that's coming from a life long Holte ender at Villa Park.😂❤👍
