PCH rest stops, oases, hot springs, etc.

Hi all,

My wife and I are starting the PCH on May 1st and are looking for nice places to stop along the way. I was stunned that she wanted to come with me and I want to compensate for the rough spots along with the way with some comfort and even luxury at times. Does anyone have suggestions for particularly nice camp sites, swimming holes, hot springs, spas, b&bs, etc. at any point between Vancouver and San Diego?
