Got some new rubber, but one of the tubes got a flat while I was shoving the tire back on with the lever (pinch flat) front rim strip was done, so had to tape it.
Now I need a new tube 🤬
Needs a little cleaning and polishing but i think she looks pretty good.

New phobia just unlocked: That style seatpost spring snapping off near the mounts on a hard bump and jumping up and flicking me in the sack like a metal bull whip.
The original dropper post.
Nice hite rite, looks good
How are you getting travel with that seatpost spring? If a narrower seatpost than the seat tube, you essentially have all your weight supported by the seat collar and the metal ears on the upper clamp around the post. The force is concentrated entirely on the right-hand side of each bolt, and bolts are not designed to support transverse loads. At best, the binder collar bolt will only bend on you, and you’ll have trouble undoing the nut. At worst, that thing is going to snap off and your seatpost is going to slam into the frame.
If you have an appropriately-sized seatpost, it’s held into place primarily with friction and compression, so maybe the idea is for the clamp to tighten as you go over bumps? Or the collar is tightened, and the spring is just for looks.
If this is a custom thing, why? There are tons of stringently-tested suspension posts. If this is a commercial product, I’d be very, very interested to read about it.
There’s xbiking, and then there’s suddenly having your seatpost clamp slam into the frame when your spring snaps.
So many bad ideas in the 90s, so much gold too 🤣
