Hi everyone,
I have the opportunity to buy a new Fuji Jari 2.1 LTD for €1,000 (around $1100) and I’m wondering if it’s a good deal.
How I plan to use it:
• Daily commuting (about 10–15 km) in the city
• Longer rides (50–100 km) with some luggage
• Bikepacking trips
• Should handle light gravel and forest paths
Specs (highlights):
• Weight: approx. 13.3 kg
• Frame: A6-SL Super-Butted Aluminum, carbon fork
• Drivetrain: Shimano Tiagra 2×10
• Brakes: Tektro HYRD (mechanical/hydraulic, 160 mm rotors)
• Crankset: FSA Vero Pro, 46/30T
• Cassette: Sunrace 11–34T
• Tires: Vittoria Revolution Tech G2.0 (40 mm)
• Extras: Dynamo hub, lighting system, fenders, rear rack (Racktime Eco 2)
Would you say the Fuji Jari 2.1 LTD is a solid choice at this price point, or is there something better in this range?
Looking forward to your thoughts!

Check out Facebook Marketplace. You might be able to get a great bike for half the price you quoted above.
Not familiar with this brand but it looks pretty good from what im seeing. Ive seen more expensive bikes with less features than this one.
I’d call that a steal. In 2012 I paid $1100 for a steel Kona that’s heavier (did come with Ultegra/105 though).
Similar bikes in this price range include the Boardman ADV series, where you get Sora for £825 and upgrade to GRX for £1200. Similar setup with mechanical disc, AL frame/carbon fork. If you’re in the UK you can find examples at Halfords.
Definitely worth the price
Looks like a good buy. My last MTB was a Fuji Auric and it was a great bike. Fuji has been around forever and they make solid bikes, and this seems like a great build for your intended purposes. I’d go for it!
I have a Fuji Touring. I’ve done thousands and thousands of miles on it.
The brand has been around for like 125 years. I can attest that these bikes are built to last.
Yes it is. You will have fun.
I have a 93 Fuji Saratoga as my touring bike and it’s honestly my favorite. Those are definitely worth the money. Fuji’s tend to be really well equipped for the price.
Can’t go wrong with a Fuji, really solid at low prices. You won’t get compliments though, it’s like the Asics of bicycles.
I have a fuji touring and its really solid. I beat the shit out of it and it just keeps on going
