So putting a half link on my older eastern frame which I decided to go with the newer width tires (2.4) which do clear the frame but doesn’t allow for the axle to be slammed into the dropouts thus tire would rub…. So I’m wondering if my axle is okay where it’s at?? And is it okay to run it there… how far do you guys run your axles in your dropouts?

That looks fine, have you tried just dropping to a 2.3 so you can slam the rear end.
Don’t be scared to play with different placements. It can make a big difference in how manuals and other tricks feel.
You could throw some chain tensioners on it
It’s absolutely normal to run your wheel in the middle of your dropout. I bought a modern street frame with 12.9 chainstay and I didn’t like it so i pull my wheel as far back as I could and the end of the axle is aligned with the end if the dropout.
As long as your entire axle is inside the dropout you’re fine.
Lmao yeah it’s fine I’ve ran my shit further back than that trying to clear new 2.4 snm mainlines on a shortcut frame. Some guys I see run it at the veeeery back obviously not smart but you gotta do what you gotta do 🤷🏼♂️
if it wasnt ok they wouldnt give you an option. most frames advertise the range of their rear end lenghth, some have up to an inch in difference, this is how its achieved. further back will make it more stable but harder to manual.
Mine is almost out of the axle never had problems 🤣
