Retrospec isn’t the best brand but it does the trick. I’m running a 2.44 gear ratio which is sort of fun. But I am wondering what counts as “true fixed” if I have a flippy hub. Thanks!

Yes! You can always change the wheel to a fixed fixed after you break it
True fixed has foot retention
It’s a fixed gear as long as the cog you’re running is fixed to the wheel no need to make it complicated.
