Looking to buy my first “nice” bike and one is being offered to me by someone in a casual riding group I’m in. They say it’s seen “a lot” of miles and they’re willing to go low in price. The problem is I don’t know what low means for this kind of bike. Any advice for a starting offer? It’s a specialized diverge

The fact this has tiagra im guessing its a lower spec version of this model. Maybe $1300 new. Pretty beat up and the front rings look pretty used up. The big gash by the seat post is worrisome. I’d probably pass but if I was buying I wouldn’t pay more then $300 and that’s probably generous based on the rough shape.
