Went to a “two wheeler dealer” when I was heavier(I was a big boy at 320) I’m 264 now so went to a local place( because they said I needed to spend like 1500 for a bike rated for that heavy weight, yes I was obese probably still am)
The new place offered me a bike that I’ll post all pictures of and wanting opinions seems like a good build. Posted for 600 but took 100 off(may be just a mark up and fake discount idk but also includes free real replacements for a year and local guy used bicycle market)
Little background I’ve always had bicycles dont really drive due to sleep apnea issues that they don’t recommend I drive. But been about seven years since I’ve driven. So used to live in Portland and had a bike worth 1800 but now looking for a hybrid or steel frame instead of carbon fiber.
So bought this bike since it’s more like a commute but do want to get back to do the cross city trail. But road bike was too much so hoping I didn’t over pay. But it’s such a weird specific bike? Seems like the one I saw sold on eBay was 650

What will you do at this point if you did overpay?
Just get some better tires do a safety check and have some fun. Get some paniers, make it a cross city cruiser/picnic bike.
Not if you’re happy with it!
Yes, but it’s ok
I’ve always thought New Belgium commissioned some sweet bikes. No idea what it’s worth because no one (besides New Belgium, I guess) ever really paid for these new. People won them in contests, and the brewery gave them to employees as anniversary gifts. The first time I visited their Fort Collins location there were like 20 of their bikes from different years and iterations parked in the racks outside the front door. It’s kind of collectible but really not particularly rare. Looks like it’s built well, and it has the cool factor. If it fits you well and feels good on a ride, buy a spill proof cup holder for your Fat Tire and enjoy the bike!
