  1. Superb, lovely to see you out on the bike, legend.! The snow has just melted here in Helsinki, we had another 15cm just 10 days ago. Ill be out on my Giant Revolt this weekend 😎🇫🇮

  2. Your POV rides are quite wholesome to say the least. Being latin american, I worried when seeing you ride on the left side, silly me XD. Glad you are out there where the birds sing and the ocean roars. Ride on!

  3. Been back to my early morning rides some of the time around here. It was 42F degrees this morning starting off. Winds very light. On winds at other times, there have been moments in the last week when they were heavy, perhaps 19 MPH or so and I'll be out in them normally on the e-bike, but then when the gusts happen, they can make for wildly unsafe conditions. I had to abort a ride in the middle of it a few days ago. As for me I'll get out on the regular bikes at up to 15 or so if I'm motivated for it, but the real beauty of having an e-bike, any type I suppose, is for it's role as a heavy wind bike. The alternatives being 1), disinclination over the winds, and not getting out at all. 2), going anyway and having it be a very unpleasant grind. Or 3), jumping on the e-bike, having a better time, and still getting an athletic or semi-athletic ride in depending. As long as you have some pride with how you utilize the power on the e-bike, and not just be a total slob about it, I feel it's an important part of the overall picture for getting the riding exercise in, staying lean and fit.

  4. Really enjoying this style of video 😊. And a bit easier for Simon to edit as well I imagine!
There's got to be some sort of mini series about finding a better bike, doing it up and getting it back out on the road again somewhere when you get round to it… 🤞

  5. The upgrades sound like welcomed additions and would love to see a setup review or the filming of the change would have been brilliant too. All amateur riders are swapping out groupset at some time 🎉 great ride and love the blue sky although image it was a chilly one as the weather on the South Coast has been horrific by all accountz

  6. There is nothing like someone enjoying a good morning ride ..back in the saddle. I’m a solo rider for most part clear my head. Only draw back is I end my ride with a30 degree climb keeps me in check😎

  7. I echo all the other comments as well. What a beautiful day for a bike ride. Nice upgrades to the steel frame bike. It’s obvious you are having a great time on the bike. Well done Lee.

  8. Yeah, the old Pug's are a bit rattly compared to modern. Need fatter tyres with perhaps lower pressure? Or dare I say it, a suspension seat? Fantastic bike with all the modern stuff on it.

  9. Crackin ride out video! The tone of your voice and content you put out is easy watching! Enjoying both the service videos and the ride outs 🙂 Ta

  10. Great vlog. Looks like a lovely place to be cycling. I would love to try some cycling in the far east some time 😂. I am struggling to get back to fitness right now and looking forward to getting out around the New Forest soon and getting back to a reasonable level of fitness. It’s nice to see you cycling as well as fixing.

  11. Excellent getting out there. I live just outside Swansea so right by the coast. The wind rarely favours the rider. Extra kudos for the way you dealt with the horse & rider.

  12. Had another question for you. There seems to be a lot of euro-centricity with English cyclists for all the obsession with metric measures. Being American, almost all of us, cyclists or not, think in terms of miles, feet, inches, pounds and quarts. Is this impression accurate or not? As for myself, I see it as cultural preservation in a sense, not going out of our way to use metric, and sticking to the English. Not that I can't convert or know what things amount to.

  13. Great video once again, embodies everything I personally think about bike riding , the discipline that solo riding really develops. You remind probably all of us why we love bikes and riding bikes….. brilliant, thanks for sharing 😊

  14. Loving the videos! There's something to enjoy in every bike ride regardless of the weather. Quick techie question. Do you ever put complete STI levers in the ultrasonic cleaner? Some older Shimano shifters can lose their "click" due to dried and hardened grease. In the past I have squirted loads of brake cleaner in, gone through the gears a few times, more brake cleaner, a blow through with compressed air and then a good squirt of GT85. Would a session in the ulltrasonic cleaner, followed by a wash down, blow through and light oil be a better option in your opinion? Asking for a friend…

  15. Well done in getting back to it! 👌🏻
I'd had a break of several years until last year and was dismayed at the state of the local roads.
Thus far, I remain 'put off' and need to get over the psych-barrier!

  16. This was great! I didn't think you could top your bike fixing videos, but these "vlogs" are certainly equal in entertainment. It's so nice to see you out riding a bike. I hope you have many more rides and I'll be praying that they're all safe.

Putting on ten-speed Ultegra was a great choice! I'm sure it makes a huge difference! Same thing with the extra length of a stem being more comfortable.

Thanks for sharing! Good stuff. 🙂

  17. Nice to see you out and about. Could you do a video on bike cleaning, not servicing but how to clean your bike for the average person at home who might not be a able to disassemble it in order to do so?

  18. I bought a pair of two bolt shimano touring pedals with multi directional cleats..they are clip in but you can pull your feet out in an emergency unlike racing pedals..I much prefer them..

  19. Good to see you out and about. Also great to see the countryside you ride in. I have to ride a few miles from home to find any hills. But living just south of Lake Ontario ( NEW YORK STATE ) we always have the wind. Makes for a training buddy, the wind does ! Nice job on the bike. Ride safe and enjoy.

  20. I think your Peugeot has Cadre Allege tubing, which is basically gas piping and is indeed very choppy to ride, got it on my singlespeed.
The sheer difference in ride quality that was between Cadre Allege and the Tange tubing on my 80s Gitant Peleton was so unreal.
I'm so happy you're back in the saddle! Keep it up!
