  1. Remove the kickstand.

Put in bar end plugs. (Not having these is a safety issue.)

Set up your saddle correctly. It should be level and at an appropriate height for proper leg extension, not all the way down.

Set up your front and rear QRs correctly. Have it in line with the fork and basically horizontal in the back, nicely aligning with the chainstay.

I’m sad I don’t have enough karma to repost this to bicycling circle jerk.

Not having bar plugs will cost you body parts one day. If you fall over to the side, it can chop off your finger, if you crash into a tree, it can core sample your abdomen.

Also make the seat usable and remove the kickstand for better look

Rain Fenders are for hardcore commuters 🙂 Since you have the stand already, also lights.

Kickstand delete, saddle level, and bar end caps would improve the look and safety

  6. Fix the saddle, fix the qr axles as a guy above explained, ditch the kickstand.

    That’s for the free-to-do stuff.

    The paid ones:
-get barends or wider grips with integreated barends if you intend to do mtb-stunt tricks on it
-this saddle ain’t ideal for stunt, get a wide, dedicated one, for example dartmoor streetfighter saddle.
-pedals with metal, changeable pins, for better control
-shorter stem, also for better control and looks

Other than tha looks fine to me, but if you really want to do stunts like that, you’d be better off with a wheelie bike or dedicated mtb stunt bike.

  7. Quick release should be straight up or to the back ….just in case you get front tire caught on something

  8. Put yourself and ride it often. There is no greater hobby. I’m almost 72 yrs of age, and did a 50 mile ride today to benefit abused kids in Texas. Nothing more rewarding. Ride on!

Bikes always look nicer when they have a smiling rider on them.

Plug bar ends, and make sure seat and overall fit is comfortable. When you are riding it no one will see most of it, and if it looks too nice parked someone steals it.

Add a bottle cage or a least fill the holes
    Loose the junk kickstand
    Add bar ends and plugs
    Lights
Fix the seat (that aint right)
Add a seat pack for spares
    And a frame pump
