  1. Don't forget to sand properly in advance the area of the tube where the hole is located prior to spread the vulcanizing solution. Wait until the glue gets almost dry and apply the patch rubbing it gently with a tire lever or so. You are done dude.

  2. Thanks for explaining the why behind the need for the glue to dry. I saw that in the directions and had doubts before having the context you gave.
