i need a bike to ride about 0.5 – 1 mile to work and back everyday. i was able to find info on the first one and its really expensive new around $600, but selling for $40… the second one has gears and never been ridden but i cant find any info on it, they want $60 for that one. same seller. need to pick one today!

At the price you’re paying, it doesn’t matter that much. Gears could be useful, and it’s not really been ridden
That Jaimis Earth Cruiser is a good simple bike. As long as you don’t need to cross any hills it should work fine. It is the 1 speed version not the more expensive 3 speed.
The second bike looks like a youth bike. Unless you are under 5′ I would skip.

honestly 1 mile or less is a short enough distance that I would just walk it
I think I’d go for the second one unless you’re used to working with a coaster brake, they can be a bit of a pain to get used too. Walking is also an option too.
