  1. Be prepared to replace it often. The rubber split in a few weeks when i tried it

    It’s a cheap, quick bodge if you suddenly need replacement grips/tape, and I’m sure there are some people who actually like, but I wouldn’t bother unless you don’t have and proper alternative.

  4. To do it well you need to use two layers of tube to achieve a good feel. The first layer doesn’t really matter how it is wrapped as you’re getting bulk for shock absorption, but keep it neat. The top layer is where you need to spend time on the wrap to keep it firm but to over stretching the rubber, so you get longevity and suppleness. Over stretching will lead to the tubes breaking down and splitting quickly, it’s very important not to overstretch. Wrapping the top layer tube with a half overlap gives a consistent feel and grip. Might take you a couple of times to find the sweet spot, but when you do, old tubes make excellent grips that last a very long time. 🤘🏼
