Caister, Walking Tour, High Street, Fish and Chips, Great Yarmouth.
– History: Caister has a history that goes back to Roman times. They liked it so much, they built not one, but two forts. Because why have one when you can double the fun, right?
– Lifeboat Station: Caister boasts an independent lifeboat service, with the motto “Caister men never turn back.” Which is great unless they’re heading to the shop for milk and realize they’ve forgotten their wallet.
– Beach: The beach is fantastic for those who love sand, sea, and perhaps building sandcastles with moats deep enough to make any medieval castle jealous.
– Holiday Camps: Once a hotspot for holiday camps where many a British family learned the art of competitive bingo and knobbly knees contests.
– Tourist Attraction: It’s not exactly the center of the universe, but it’s got charm. And ghosts. Yes, it has its fair share of ghost stories, including the famous tale of the ghost dog, Black Shuck. Visit if you dare!
– Modern Day: Today, it’s a mix of old charm and new developments. But let’s be honest, it’s the kind of place where the most exciting event might be the annual sandcastle competition.
