Is this Trek Speed Concept worth $1,500.00?

Hey everyone,

I’m looking at a 2018 Speed Concept and wanted to get your thoughts, is it worth it, or is it way overpriced? I live in a country where importing bikes from the U.S. is really expensive due to high taxes and shipping, so local options tend to be limited and pricey.

For context, I’m a new rider just starting my triathlon journey, so this would be my first tri bike. My only real concern is that it doesn’t have disc brakes, how much of a drawback is that?
