tldr: rockhopper in patagonia was bombproof and i'd really recommend this trip for anyone able to!
Second half of my trip down South from Bariloche to Ushuaia. It was so windy after leaving El Chaltén when riding across the pampas, and I had some pretty nasty headwinds in Torres del Paine, but also some lovely tailwinds when heading towards Punta Arenas.
I finished in Ushuaia in pretty cold temps after the bikepacking.com 'fin del mundo' route across Tierra del Fuego. That route was across the island was definitely a highlight even if it finished with a 10 hour hike a bike in a lot of mud (i'm sorry u-brake).
I am very impressed with this rockhopper and it handled some really harsh conditions (minus one snapped saddle bolt) like a tank, and somehow managed to have no punctures as well.
Really recommend this route for anyone able to take it on and I will happily send over the .gpx / sections of it if anyone wants to see it in more detail. Thanks!
