  1. Also forgot to mention this is being offered by a friend for a good chunk less than it’s worth

  2. Smaller is easier to remedy than too big. If you’re only one size or so too small, I say buy it.

    No, I don’t think I will haha

but if it’s truly the wrong size… then pass mate

Every little ache/pain you have going forward could be attributed to a poorly fit bike

Never buy a bike that’s too big for you, no matter the price. You can make a bike that’s slightly too small for you work with adjustments to stem, bars, seat post, etc, but not the other way around. This won’t work for you and you absolutely will regret buying it.

    If aint free, id pass.

An ill-fitting bike is the worst imo, especially if im paying for it. Too much of a headache to fix and too much body sore.

Anyway.. if youre deadset on getting the whole bike, id suggest to salvage the components and get a better sized frameset… Which could accomodate the existing parts.

Plus.. its carbon. Go get something in steel 😅

Keep in mind this is more of an All-Road bike by today’s gravel standards. It only fits 40mm tires max. If that sounds like it fits the bill and you can add a longer step, brakes, pedals…ect. Maybe?

If you’re looking for a gravel bike that can tackle some gnarly terrain. This ain’t it.

  8. you probably have a neighbor who is about your size and has an extra bike. There I just saved you a few bucks.

As someone who has a short reach and needs a high stack, I say build it up and try it out. If it’s a friend, ask them to let you take it for a spin. A 90mm stem isn’t very short, you’d just need to check the handling.

You can make adjustments to make a smaller bike usable, but not the other way around.

Look at mr original here, with the everything black.

Oh yellow pedals? Feeling adventurous are we sir?

Serious note – if it don’t fit it’s a load of shit.

Sounds like the “not being the right size” concerns are overblown. Based on what you’re saying, it’s just a stem swap away from being the exact right fit.

If it’s a bike that’ll get you out and riding rather than sitting in the shed collecting dust, I think it’s a great deal.

  14. Sounds good, as long as your crotch isn’t completely slammed into the top tube when straddling the bike. $1000 is a great price. Only thing with that gen of Aspero is the tire size is a hard max of 700×40. It’s definitely usable, it’s what everyone was riding 5 years ago, but bigger tires (or more mud clearance) is certainly nice.

  15. Buy it, put some disc rotors on along with a set decent pedals, then sell it for more. After that, buy yourself a bike that’s your size
