Hey frens
I bought an Evo 8 Expert for Leadville this year, and have been putting miles on it to get comfy but I absolutely loathe the cockpit.
I can’t put my entire hand on the grip without a knuckle smashing into the AXS controls, and it’s already set all the way the most possible to the middle.
Are there other setups that would let me not have the shifter and the brake on the same handlebar attachment point or can I flip the controls to the other side of the mount or am I just stuck like this?

Get a SRAM Infinite Mount for the shifter pod
Just put another clamp and mount the shifter that instead.
Alternatively; run your brakes more inboard.
Most peiple run their brake levers further inboard. Try moving your whole lever in then dialing your brake lever reach in so you dont have to reach so far to brake. Most brake levers are designed with one finger braking in mind.
Get rid of the matchmaker
Your brake lever is crazy close your grip. Mine have a gap of about 35mm. My index finger is lined up with the outer bend in the lever, not the inner like yours. My thumb has plenty of clearance on the AXS pod.
I have fucked around with these clamp adapters endlessly. The SRAM Matchmaker, the Shimano E-Spec or whatever the fuck they call it now, the magura shit, and the wolf tooth crap.
In the end, I always do the same thing: switch to a bar mount adapter. Its really the only way.
Mine has its own mount, I wouldn’t have it any other way
Loosen the bolt where it says SRAM and move it further up so it’s not under the grip like that, then adjust the lever so your pointer finger is lined up with the outer half of the lever, that should give you plenty of room. The lever is also really far away from the grip, like more than twice what I have mine set up as
