Hi Redditors, after a lot of adventures with my Grizl CF SLX 8 EKAR and 4500 km on it, my rear tire is almost slick. It's a Schwalbe G-One Bite in 45mm, the original mount, and I’ve been really happy with its performance, both off-road and on-road. The tire is currently out of stock, so I’m considering trying something else.

Since I’m doing 50% road (a lot of commuting) and 50% off-road (MTB trails, gravel paths, etc.), I think I’ll stick with the 45mm width, which should be a good compromise. I’ve looked into some gravel tires, and there are still a lot of choices on the market. Has anyone had experience with other brands?

The Michelin Power Gravel 45mm/47mm and the Pirelli Cinturato Gravel 45mm have good reviews, and the tire profiles look similar to the one I have.

Any recommendations or thoughts on these options, or perhaps other tires I should consider? I’m looking for something that offers good durability, grip, and comfort for mixed surfaces. Appreciate any input!

Specialized revamped their tires and the Pathfinder has gotten great reviews. Before gravel bikes, I have used Specialized and Vittoria tires on cyclocross on less technical single track

Currently using the WTB Byway on the Grizl as the road part is currently the larger part of my rides. It’s a rather strange tyre with a slick middle line, getting more gnarly the further you look to the edge.
