I’ve ridden a fixed gear with a qr for decades. But maybe use a nice shimano one. Something with an internal cam and steel contact surfaces.

dude its fine, would just use a better skewer. This is nothing brand new been working in shop most of my working life i’ve see it a few times mostly on dope conversions like this one here!

Well you could say that while they have their own complications vertical DOs ought to at least make having your axle slide forward is a non-issue but focusing on QRs – sticking with Internal Cam versions is the way to make them work safely on the ass-end of sw8 fixays. But I think it looks like you have External Cam skewers. But you have vertical DOs so you ought to be Ok if you can get your chain tension close. Good luck.

  4. If you tighten it like a madman that you’ll need some tool to undo the lever, it should have enough force to stay in place even with a cheap qr scewer.
