UAE Team Emirates-XRG have confirmed that Tadej Pogacar will make his highly anticipated debut at Paris-Roubaix next month. Pogacar was not originally planning on tackling the French cobbles, but a change of programme will see him race at the Tour of Flanders and Paris-Roubaix. The Slovenian was last in action at Milano-Sanremo, where he narrowly missed out on victory to Mathieu van der Poel.

  1. This is a terrible show especially when watching live cycling, constant waffle and laughing at nothing, talking over the podium and just spoiling the race AB talks over other commentators because he’s always right (not) get this show off or at least give us the paying a fortune now viewers have a choice of channels without this awful performance

  2. Mathieu van der Poel has to be considered a heavy favourite. I have massive respect for Tadej Pogacar for doing Paris-Roubaix in this age of road race specialization. You won’t see Jonas Vingegaard at Paris-Roubaix nor will you see Mathieu van der Poel contesting the GC at a Grand Tour. Chapeau Mr. Pogacar.

  3. Roubaix It’s not so risky if one rides solo through the cobbles. He can see then. 4th in a bunch, he can’t see

If pogacar was ever going to go from far out roubaix is the race to do it. That’s probably how he persuaded management to race—I will ride majority of it alone or w one other, it’s not nearly so dangerous then

Mvp cd go w him. Same wva. Same pederson, same

At roubaix race and for safety reasons/tour plans Look for the break and the real action to take place from v far out, further than 80k strade

  4. Um. Wrong. LOTS of people go and ride sections of the cobbles of Paris / Roubaix just for fun. It's an experience… just like doing the famous climbs of the Tour de France and Giro and Vuelta. But, yeah, of course Tadej is going to try Paris / Roubaix… even if it is probably the worst idea in the world–in terms of his overall season and career… because… really… nobody really cares who wins Paris / Roubaix… vs, say, the Tour de France. (Just like nobody cares who wins a "gold medal" at the Olympics… against mostly nobodies… and on short, easy courses.) The DOWNsides to Tadej riding Paris / Roubaix are MUCH greater than the fairly minor up-sides if he actually wins–which is virtually impossible. Just ONE bad crash could end not only his SEASON… but his CAREER. (Just ask Chris Froome.) And his legend would be MUCH greater if he were a 3 time TdF winner… than a 2 time TdF winner–and a 1 time Paris / Roubaix loser. But… Tadej is gonna be Tadej… that's why we love him. I just hope he doesn't end up like Wout or Remco… badly injured and out for the rest of the season.

  5. Mathieu is obviously the favorite here but I’ll pee myself laughing if The King, crazy as he is, somehow manages to snatch the victory.
