I’m looking at getting my first road bike and have been considering a few options, in different price ranges. I’d be doing 1-2 group rides per week with some indoor training mixed in. Riding comfort and versatility is more of a priority than speed at this point.

New Cube Attain SLX: 1400€ (https://www.cube.eu/cube-attain-slx-goblin-n-yellow/825310)
Saw the Attain at my local LBS and seems like everything I’d need to get started, and for the foreseeable future. Aluminum Frame, Shimano 105 and Hydraulic Disk Brakes.
Buying it from the LBS includes a bike fit and some rebates on gear I’d need. -
Used Cervélo Caledonia (Ultegra): 2000€
The step up to Carbon Frame, Ultegra and a more versatile geometry. Has only a few hundred km on it.
Feels like a platform that is worth investing in and I wouldn’t outgrow anytime soon (ever ?) -
New Cervélo Caledonia (SRAM Rival AXS): 2500€ (https://www.cervelo.com/en-US/bikes/caledonia)
Found what seems like a great deal online, a marginal cost increase gets an upgrade to wireless shifting and the benefits of a brand new bike, but the whole package is starting to see, like a bit of overkill tbh..
Thank you !
