      I'm switching from apple watch to garmin instinct 2 as I hated to charge apple watch, sleep tracking was just useless as I had to charge it during the night

      Cyclist here, on my bikes I use a Wahoo computer so I don´t need to wear a watch. For everything else my Apple Watch is really good. For hiking or swimming I would rather have the Garmin Fenix 8, but then again I do not do those activities enough to justify the price difference.

      A big difference between the two is that the Apple Watch is a true smart watch doing a lot of things in the background, as well as the ability to interact with app. Whereas the Garmin watches are kinda smart. You cannot interact with apps from the phone, but the sports/recovery/wellness data is second to none. Speaking as a person who switched from being a lifelong Apple Watch user, to the Garmin Fenix 8, I can tell you that it is dependent upon what you want from your watch.

      The video is awesome. Thanks a lot for sharing. As a Garmin user I'm seriously considering changes to an Apple Watch Ultra 2. For a lot of different reasons, but mainly for stability. In the last few months, multiples Garmin smartwatch has been misplacing the activities tracking. They even sent some alerts to this effect to Garmin Connect. And the only reason I had for keep using a Garmin smartwatch was the activity track. Garmin Pay doesn't work with any of my banks or credit cards (Actually, in my country there is only one financial company which who the Garmin Pay Works, accordingly with Garmin), my garmin doesn't have nfc funcionality for electronic locks, don't have an app to play Apple Music (it's kinda obvious but it is what it is)… Anyway, I'm tired of waiting for a bug correction from Garmin.

      I think that torch on the watch is so fucking cool, especially how its actually a decent watch, but thinking to go apple, cant lie, wish apple was the best at fitness and had a torch😂

      So done with Apple Watch. Every time I unlink data, text, FaceTime, Apple turns it back on. I’m finished with being apples data collection servant.

      Lower price with similar features but not all, is the Garmin solar Instinct 3. Even better battery life. Never going back to Apple watch. 26 days battery life! and yeah, I do love the flashlight feature really much better than Apple!

      I still wonder how Apple can dare call their watch "Ultra" where there is nothing ultra about that poor battery life. This renders it useless for everything above 50k with GPS tracking which you may not need but would like to have for any Ultra event. Yes it is a great device, and it nails it in some other aspects, but definitely not even close to "Ultra".

      This really is a great review of both products. I can’t speak for Apple but Garmin SA’s after service is like dog shit, very disappointing and it’s almost like they don’t care at all when there are problems with your device and it’s impossible to get hold of anyone to help.

      I would have to say hands down this is by far the best comparison video I've found on these watches. I was in the market for an Apple watch until my cousin mentioned Garmin to me. He made the switch to Garmin and I figured I'd better at least give it a look. I appreciate the details in your video. The one thing I was hoping to see was a little more on how texts, or incoming phone calls work with the Garmin vs Apple Watch.

      the biggest problem is the battery, i have a garmin fenix 7 pro sapphire solar, apple watch is so good for ecosystem, but battery isn t good, 2 days isnt enought, garmin have at least 7 days battery

      My Apple watch Series 7 has sat on my desk since I've switched to the Forerunner 965. I will never love a square watch ever… Also charging every night can kiss my ass.

      Apple Watch = I am worried what someone thinks of me
      Garmin Watch = I'm successful and don't care what people think, I buy whatever I want that has real function
