The start of my 4500 kilometer solo bicycle trip. Sweden to Egypt

“Millennium Bike Tour of Liberty” MBTL was my name of the solo campaign for human rights I created back in 1999. During my trip I went to several embassies in Europe and Israel to deliver letters of appeal on the behalf of Amnesty international. Freedom of speech, opinion and press are extra important to me!

Start date october 01 of 1999 in Lidköping Sweden where I lived. A man was yelling at me: “Man får inte cykla på torget !” = “You are not allowed to ride a bicycle on the square”. Swedsih spoken – I will maybe text this in english.

I have over 11 hours of video and 500+ photos from this adventure trip.
Sweden – Denmark – Sweden – Germany – Poland – Germany – Czech republic – Austria – Hungary – Croatia – Bosnia Herzegovina – Croatia – Italy – Greece -Cyprus – Israel – Egypt. I sold the bicycle when I had reached Egypt.
