This is a Trek Marlin 5. It’s considered an MTB, not a dual sport. I purchased this same bike a few years back for my partner. A few things:
– this bike is a tank. If you want something light, look elsewhere. This is especially true of the fork.
– $300 is too much IMO. All components are considered low level.
– the biggest issue for me is that the rear spacing is 135mm. Basically, you cannot bring this bike up to modern trail bike standards.
That being said, it’s an attractive-looking bike. The paint is well done.
