I rode the Wakefield Wheel circuit for the first time in early April 2024 and given the recent series of ‘multi-surface rides’ I thought a return would be timely.

I’m getting to grips with new video editing software and so far I can’t superimpose directional arrows on map inserts.
Apologies – it’s a work in progress.

Its a really good route, and can be altered to add or remove sections. There's also the Wonder of Wakefield (WoW) alternative too.
Spring 2025 and it's time the algorithm had a shake-up – multi-talented Gordon could inspire thousands!
Super circuit by the looks of it Gordon. To be fair it would seem well used too. Maybe the Wakefield planners could educate some other councils on recreation and local none vehicle routes.
well done!
I think I made this comment last time: do you remember the infamous "Streethouse gang" from the late 80s (might have been an urban myth lol)
Brilliant video and route Gordon enjoyed watching.
Another cracking ride gordon you really are getting some milage in since your injury i thought id tuned into a nature video in parts with huge cats and erm dogs 😳 doing what they do
Not the most attractive route Gordon, although it has it's moments and I like its 'honesty'. I'm also glad that the investment gets made in to creating/maintaining even the more urban or industrial of cycleways, making the best of what's there. I'll bet you're glad you had those Schwalbes on!
Morning Mr In thanks for taking us along, and don't let the defecators get you down keep up the good work!
Another wonderful ride. Recognised a few areas on that video , Gordon.
Nice ride Gordon, I hope you are back to full fitness now, you certainly went up those grades well. Best regards Sarah
Yet another great video! I grew up in Walton, so very interested in any riding around the Wakefield area. When I was there my bike was a 1971 mk 1 chopper. Wish I'd kept it!
Keep your awesome content coming. 👍
Great video and some good miles in the legs in good weather
Great to see you back out on the wheel, Gordon. All those sections seemed to link up nicely and make for a very enjoyable route. Never notice you using a navigation GPS thingy on your rides – do you just make do with the area knowledge built up over the years, phone if needed and road/trail signs along the way?
