New mechanical Eagle 70 & 90 Transmission groupsets just dropped! Excellent!
To all the anti-battery evangelists who complained that there would never be a proper mech group again, your cries were heard, and rewarded! Personally, I’m stoked for more options.

This is a victory for the believers of progress who just happen hate batteries. Don’t lump me in with those who want all mountain bikes to go back to being the Trek 4300! I’d still take battery transmission over derailleurs which has indexing that relies on cables.
Already ordered through LBS. Switching from XO transmission.
Lmao its still shit.
The cassette ramps are the only things used to shift, unlike other systems, where the ramps assist but the movement of the cage is what shifts. So its gonna be slow shifting regardless.
For the price of one Mechanical derailleur, you can get a 12 speed Deore setup with a XTR shifter to boot.
Finally we can have mechanical gx level transmission on 6000+$ bikes
I’m happy with my mech GX today, but when my cassette wears out I’ll replace it with the new eagle T-Type just to stay on current standards. Didn’t want to go wireless, but I do like less adjustment (high, low, B) as I’ve never liked the process of getting those perfect.
