Wow amazing road amazing location amazing views.
The road condition is fantastic only road we ha e like that in North Island is about 8km up Mt Ruapehu to Whakapapa Ski resort that road has to be top notch & high grade seal to get buses up the Mountain in winter time.We went up it in summer on bikes best road I ever road on as NZ roads in North Island are poor & rough unless on main Highways or Motorways secondary State Hwys aint as good & B roads are rough & worse on East Coast since Cyclone Gabriel wiped out over dozens of bridges or made them unusable.
2yrs on most roads,bridges fixed or replaced but some back roads with low volumes are still down a couple near where I live aint fixed due to low traffic & have to go long way round.The South Island of NZ has much better roads due to better quality construction to handle colder conditions & South Island only has ⅓ of NZ population.
