Right then, welcome back to another video. Today, we take a return to the Two Tunnels Path in Bath, and this time I take a full unedited walk down the Combe Down Tunnel which is a whopping 1,672 metres long (that’s over 1 mile long)! In fact it’s the longest cycling tunnel in the UK. There’s two railway tunnels on this footpath. The other tunnel is called Devonshire tunnel and is 407 metres long, which is about 4 times shorter than this one. The Two Tunnels Path is located just south of the city of Bath, and was used for the now-closed Somerset and Dorset Joint Railway main line that went from just outside Bournemouth to Bath. More specifically, this railway ended at the old Bath Green Park station which is not in use anymore. Today, there are 2 stations in Bath: Bath Spa and Oldfield Park which serve the Great Western Mainline.
