Man … I don’t know if wasted or not.
Its like this with every passion, there are people who drop 1k+ for a phone yearly, or people who vacation in the same all inclusive resort for decades and there a people which like bikes. If its pleasing to your eyes, rides like a dream and you can’t wait to get out riding, than I think its money well spent.

Tbh most hobbies can be classed as wasted if you’re not part of said hobby. Since we are (deep) into the bike hobby and it makes us happy it’s not wasted.
I’m very jealous of your brakes and they fit perfectly with nice deep wheels.
