Should I try to re-seat the bead? Never had this happen. Front is fine, I thought the rear would tske its shape overnight. The rim is true.
Conti Crossking 27.5 in wire bead. The rear was a bitch to get on.
Put on new tires yesterday, rear is still like this.

My Maxxis tires do this, it’s a quality control issue. They will say the tire is fine, to me it’s the principle of it. I paid full price I want first quality.
I no longer give Maxxis any money as I firmly believe their company has started to slip, I don’t care how many tires they make and how many shops carry them. They don’t get my money.
I’ve had this problem with Maxxis.
If you haven’t ridden it and only just seated it you can pop both beads on the rim and then use some soapy water and then inflate to re seat the bead. Works on the ones I’ve tried it on that hadn’t been ridden yet (might have to do it a couple of times). I’m now also really careful to use tire levers not too aggressively.
Mine do that too (maxxis dth ). I can’t feel it when I’m riding so I ignore it. If it was a road bike or a motorcycle I’d find it unacceptable but on dirt at bicycle speeds it really doesn’t matter. Idk if there’s a brands with better quality control.
