“It’s hard to know where you’re going if you don’t know where you’ve been.” That’s the theme behind the beautifully shot and soul-stirring Episode One of “Standing on the Shoulders,” RED’s new two-part video mini-series leading up to the grand opening of the newest lift-accessed bike park in Canada, curated by none other than the expert builders at Gravity Logic, set to open June 21st, 2025.
Episode One – “Standing on the Shoulders of Legends” is all about highlighting the rich mountain bike culture that gave rise to both the iconic athletes and epic trails of the Kootenays. It’s an ode to the roots, the pioneers, and the raw trail-building energy that helped shape the sport in Rossland and beyond. It’s about honouring a legacy—one that spans decades, thousands of vertical feet, and a passionate community that’s helped put this region on the global mountain biking map.

Nice to hear your voice again Graham! 🙂
Grew up snowboarding Red in the late '80s. Biked some trails there a couple of years ago. A bike park!?! Can't wait to get there! 🔥🤙
