Other cons: You can’t reveal too much about a trip so your house doesn’t get burglarized. You can’t reveal an upcoming interview or race because if it doesn’t happen, it makes you look unserious. You need to stay away from politics because people get deranged.
I’m not sure how YT works financially but I often hear others say “please like this video it helps the channel”. Do you not get frustrated when at time of writing 2,272 people have viewed it but only 17% have bothered to respond with a 👍
Well Katie, I have very much respect for you. It is not easy to be a YouTuber cyclist despite all of the pro's. I could not do it. Besides the cycling it must cost a lot of energy, especially the filming/talking during your rides. Chapeau!! One thing you mentioned that stroke me was that you mentioned that "hobby feeling" I had exactly the same, I started as a hobby pilot and ended as a captain on the Boeing 747. As soon as you become a pro, that hobby feeling is gone. But it a great job. Once more, I have respect and sympathy for you. All the best Katie and stay safe!!
Love how your enthusiasm shines through and how grounded you are ,happy rides lass😊
idea dump: could you do a series on women in cycling? some sort of portrait of women shaping cycling and paving the way for us… Also love your videos 🙂
I really like your videos. They inspire me. I'm already looking forward to the next one.😊
Keep smiling your love for the bike always shows through every video you produce . Looking forward to the summer adventures 🎉
I like your videos Katie, because first af all you are genuine
Followed your channel for years, you inspired me to start my channel.
I stopped making videos for a bit as work and life took over but I have been out of work since last year so started creating again. Not sure where it will go but I am enjoying it.
I love a wind turbine as well, don't know why people dislike them.
I'd love to see more adventures with you and Juliet Elliot! Good banter
You are one very special person Katie. I've said before that you have the best cycling related channel on here. Humble, honest, open and very hard working. Keep up the great work and stay safe.
Great video Katie, inagine it's tougher than many people think sometimes.
What's the dirt on Rapha? Are they going bust?
Hi Katie, love the videos and you are such an inspiration ❤. Can you make a video on you Garmin 1050 setup, the data fields that you use and the best feature that you use the most (and climb pro can’t be the best feature 🤣) keep inspiring, Drew!
I’ve learned a ton from you Katie about cycling and bike touring! We have a baby YouTube channel. What do you use to film and edit your videos? Thanks!
Katie, you do a great job, a positive splash of colour in this mundane grey world. It makes me want to get out on the bike and travel. If I’m ever up the dales I’ll need you to drag me up those hills, I’d struggle.
If I can give you advice on the upcoming 4 Canary Islands, the 2 you haven’t done, prepare for wind.
So sorry for pipping my horn on yer video.
Watching your videos got me into zwifting. Helped me lose loads of weight and get fitter. Fantastic that I managed to bump into you for a chat. You are such a nice person and a great inspiration to get people cycling.
Next step for me is to get out and try riding outdoors. Thanks from Postie Pete ❤
Instant thumbs up!!! Nice insight into your world. Stay safe and keep pedaling young Katie.
Hi Katie, when will you come to ride a bike up Doi Inthanon in Chiang Mai, Thailand?
Ohhh yes, I totally understand about how turning a hobby into a business takes away from the hobby.
I've been an artist for the last 10 years, and don't really want to do my own art any more. I'm also wedding photographer having been a hobby photographer for years. I used to take my camera wherever I went, but not any more. I find that I don't want to touch my camera after a tough wedding season. I enjoy the weddings, but I think I now associate the stress of them with the camera itself.
Definitely get someone else in to do some of your work. It'll free you up and take some of the stress off.
Super lucky lady!!! Living the dream)))
Dont let the work of cycling youtuber wreck your love of cycling. If you need to take a break from being onscreen, do it if you can. Everyone needs downtime to reflect and recover. Love your videos, great practical advice and beautiful scenery. Love it.
Totally loved this wee video Katie. Great to see your absolute honesty as usual and we love knowing you love what you're doing…..and that totally comes across in your videos. Keep being bubbly, smiley and happy Katie 😊.
PS: oh how i laughed at your wee 'See ya, wouldn't wanna be ya' 🤣🤣🤣
Thank you gives me inspiration to carry on, my dream is to work with garmin, my fave company have everything garmin 😂 I wish you all the best never forget your an inspiration to us all 😊
I understand the behind the scene stuff is more tiring than the job itself ❤

Katie, you are such an inspiration to us. You are so centered and well balanced in your pursuit of cycling as a fun hobby and in how you present your videos. You present your pursuit in such a "professional" type bearing, but you remain down to earth and real. its been a real pleasure to learn so much about cycling from you, and I will keep doing so. Thank you so much.
Hi Katie. Really enjoy your videos great inspiration! I retired a few years ago and started biking and ice skating. Not great at either but really enjoy them. My max ride thus far is 25 miles, hopefully make it a bit farther this summer. Please keep going, looking forward to more videos.
The constant pressure of making videos so that the algorithms generate views has got to be stressful for you. I hope that you find a balance that makes it easier to get the necessary video footage, but gives you pleasure and is fun. You inspire me, and others, to get fit by cycling. Thank you. Stay healthy, be safe.
Been watching you since you came from Aus. And I always admire how you always separate your private life from you utube life and still keep that personal intimacy in your content. Maybe one day you will tell us how you manage. Keep cycling!
