I feel like this thing is about as dialed as it’s gonna be, aside from deliberating about chainring sizes.

2.25” tires, 120/37cm bar and stem, and the most unnecessarily nice seatpost possible. I opted to stay away from transmission because I don’t like parts I can’t adjust, but I may cave eventually.

I tried posting about my red/rival lever conversion on /r/bikewrench, but it was removed bc it’s apparently not the kind of content that they want on there (??). So, ask if you have any questions! It was marginally complicated.

Side note, anyone able to anodize the pump nozzle? I can’t stand the red on an otherwise purple bike.

Amazing build! I just ordered a pair of those tires, what do you think of them?

Hot bike. Any metal shop in your area should theoretically be able to anodize for you, though they might have to reverse-engineer/fab the thing you want and then anodize it. I’m sure you know that anodization is very difficult to match shades, so you’ll likely end up with a different purple than the last cog.

Still, ask around your area. Most machine/metal shops will be happy to charge you for this.

    It’s not cheap.

  3. elita one seatpost squad. i was skeptical getting it since its the first gen, but its been solid so far.

Man I love the look of the big tires on the Laufs! This thing looks sexy and capable!

I plan on doing the Divide Trail after graduation, and I’ve been eyeing that fork for the mission! How do you like the geometry? I’ve never gotten my head around the slack in that seat tube!
