  1. That’s pretty intense haha, ~500 feet in about a mile, like almost a foot of elevation every 10 feet

  2. Around here (Seattle) most rides are around 100ft per mile, so that’s quite steep at about 200 ft per mile.

  3. I only climb 134 feet (41 m) so you’re 5x my daily climb. If 134 is an easy workout, you’re a beast!

  4. If my calculations are correct thats about a 5% climb for 4 miles. All I’m going to say is that’s rough. You’ve got lunges of steel muh man.

  5. Lol mine is about 30m in 4.4km and there are days where I walk up parts of it. In my defense, I’ve only been doing it sporadically for about 2 months now but I’m looking forward to doing it more as it warms up.

Good on you for keeping with it!

  6. That’s a cat 4 climb IMO.

Almost exactly double my current ride to work, which is about .4 miles slightly down then up 410′ in 2.1 miles. Then I have the option to coast within about 200 yards of my home on the way back. Takes 12 minutes on the ebike, 15 on the mini-velo to and about 7 on the ebike and 6 on the mini-velo coming home on dry roads.

I’ve not ever gone hard (if I’m running late I take the ebike) but I’m not spinning along in zone 2 either. So I would say you’re holding a good pace.
