Can anyone identify the year/model of this bike I acquired? Is it worth trying to sell? It’s dirty and needs some love, but there isn’t any rust and it seems like it would make a nice bike.
It’s a Raleigh Sprite 5 speed. By the looks of that shifter, the 5 speed hub got replaced with a 3? I could be wrong, though.
It’s a nice bike, but not terribly valuable. $30-$60.

Its a 60s Raleigh, without looking Id guess an LTD. Basic commuter bike. Great solid dependable bike for what it was designed for.
The 5 speed hub is pretty rare and is pretty much the only thing of value, but folks looking for that hub are far and few between. And it’s gotta work. The saddle bag isn’t worth much, but they’re sometimes sought after for people doing restorations, but they don’t go for a lot unless it’s NOS. (Same with hub).
I don’t really do pricing, too many variables, and frankly if you’re asking here you’ll never get top dollar, unless you’re crazy lucky. But you didn’t hit any kind of bicycle gold mine.
