So first of i dont have photos, since i am not near my bike, and i cleaned off the oil. These photos are the closest to what my stanchion looks like, its really oily and greassy, but with much less garbage and debris stuck to it, just really oily with fine grains in it.

So, i just got my fox floatx performance elite shock back from the full service, all seals and everything done to it, it works great, but when i first put it in i noticed it made a bit of a squish for the first hour or so of riding but i thought it was just because everything is new in it. But when i came home later that evening it was covered in oil. I took the bike for a ride again tomorow and it was all oily again. And again this morning i took the bike just to go to a shop quickly and my shock was covered in oil.

Mind you every one of those 3 rides was really chill and calm. I havent even been to the trails yet because i technically shouldnt even ride my bike at all but thats another story lol

I also checked the air pressure this morning, i usualy ride in the 155/160 psi range, but when i checked my shock for air leaks i think it leaked some air out. The air pressure was about 143-145 psi

The shock is 2022, but it was never ridden before, because it came on a bike that was used as a display model. I rode it from late august till 22. December because i had a crash and stopped riding. I took it to get serviced two weeks ago and mounted it on the bike 3 days ago, and since then it was ridden just around town

If you had Fox service it and you think there’s a problem just send it back to them

They won’t charge if you send it back and they’ve serviced it wrong. Good luck!

Air can services are pretty straightforward but mistakes can happen. Just bring it back to where it was serviced and be nice about it. They’ll sort you out.
