It’s a plastic faring, I don’t think it has any structural purpose.
I did that to mine when I didn’t use a torque wrench because who over tightens crank bolts? Me, apparently.

That’s just a plastic cover/fairing, right? Probably more of a cosmetic concern. I suppose it could come apart while riding and give you a gash, though.
Try a warranty claim?

Rip that thing off, lose 2 watts to the lack of aero, and bask in the nudity of your chainrings!
My Rival cranks broke in the same way. Just cosmetic but still sucks. SRAM refused to replace it outside of warranty.
