1984 Centurion Turbo. I just replaced the DT shifters, cassette, chain, and the RD on it. I was riding for the longest time with the original Suntour DT shifters, but they started to ghost shift and wouldn't stay tightened. I replaced them with Shimano Sora indexed 8 speed DT shifters. RD has been replaced with a Microshift R8.

  1. Well you’re definitely committed to it riding just like it did 40 years ago. Sure looks nice tho.

  2. Ooh, that’s nice. I believe this was basically Centurion’s nicest bike behind another that was some kind of partnership with Cinelli?

Personally though I do quite like the Turbo a lot. I like this style of internally lugged fork, and I also really love when lugs and fork crowns are chromed. So this mashup, where the top of the fork crown is nice shiny chrome, is appealing to me. Aside from that Tange 1 and the old Superbe bits are all great stuff.
