I'm helping my gf find a bike for our upcoming adventures. We are going to Iceland this summer and will do the Fjallabak track. We also do some gravel rides around our home in Quebec, Canada.
She currently has a older model Devinci Hatchet that she wants to change / sell. She is quite small and has small legs. The 710mm standover height of her current bike is ok but I would no go a lot higher. The only bike I found that has a good tire clearance (> 2.25") and is low SOH is the Kona Sutra LTD, with 735mm SOH in 48cm size. It looks like the perfect bike for what we intend to do in Iceland and our future bike trips, but I'm wondering if it's gonna set her back on our gravel rides because of the weight. Is the Sutra LTD that much heavy and slow ? I intend to put Vittoria Mezcal 2.25"/2.35" tires. Thanks !

TLDR; Is the Kona Sutra a viable bike for gravel cycling ?
