Hi everybody,
yesterday i bought new bike and i was excited how playful this bike is. The only thing that surprised me was that the handlebars couldn't be turned more than 90 degrees. The seller assured me that it was just a knock block system and that it could be removed.

I am not trick machine, but i do xups sometimes and i try to learn barspin. On dirtjump bike i did it few times.
But today I found out that the knock block has its justification. If the fork were to rotate, it would collide with the frame, or rather with its lower glued cover. So I peeled off the cover and it wasn't enough. It still collides with the fork's adjusting wheel.

Like why??? With a bike with 160/150 travel and a pretty playful geometry, you can expect someone to want to do these tricks. A brand that sponsors Semenuk or Johansson would come up with such a *******? I am so disapointed now.

Does anyone have any experience with how to solve this (besides buying a new frame :D)? For example, by replacing with the "lower" fork?
Many thanks!

While many people will never do a x-up or bar spin.. a simple crash will likely damage the top cap and frame on many bikes without the clearance. I feel you.

So the knockblock was to allow a straight downtube on the slash for stiffness because race bike. It got implemented on the fuel and top fuel. The added benefit on the xc bikes is often the bars are low enough the shifters smash into the top tube.

However I don’t know why they opted for it on the remedy, when it was designed from the outset of being that playful bike. Like the slash’s fun little bro.
