Saw this scott foil for sale, they have it listed for $2500 CAD ($1750 USD). Did some research, its a 2015 SCOTT Foil 10, size M/L. Groupset is the SRAM RED eTAP 22 electronic.

Here is the listing description:
Scott Foil aero bicycle. Frame size is M/L and should fit anyone from 5ft9in to 6ft1in. I can also include a longer stem (110mm). Fork is uncut so can be slammed if you want. All carbon (incl. seatpost). Groupset is SRAM Red with electronic shifting. Wheels are 50mm Winspace Hyper with carbon spokes and ceramic bearings (weighs 1450g). San Marco saddle with carbon rails (weighs 130g). Bike has been babied since day one and original cost was $10k. Weighs 7.5kg as pictured. Never dropped and rides like an absolute rocket.

My Comments:
Made a previous post about a FELT AR1, story is the same, I’m trying to downsize from a 60cm frame, I realized it feels a bit off. I initially thought it was my form or saddle position, but I think the frame is just too big. Also, the handlebars feel too wide for me.

I’m looking for something in the 56-58cm range, preferably a race-oriented frame with narrower handlebars. This Scott Foil seems like a solid option, but I’d love some feedback on whether this is a good fit for me and if the price is reasonable given the used bike market in the GTA, Ontario.

I know used bike prices here tend to be higher than what you'd find elsewhere, so I’m not expecting crazy lowball numbers. But given that this bike has an electronic groupset, carbon frame, and solid wheels, do you think it’s a fair deal? Also, any thoughts on maintenance and potential issues with SRAM eTap on a bike this age?

Would appreciate any insights—thanks in advance! 🚴‍♂️

  1. Regardless of how nice it was…the bike is a decade old. For a bit more, you can get something new which you can get fit, know the history of, and take advantage of 10 years of improved technology.

There is a delusion amongst used bike sellers that their shit mythically holds value.

I saw a similar bike with mechanical sram red sold for $900 USD after a week being on FB marketplace. Now it is still relevant to today’s mid tier level bike and you can’t buy a brand new one for this price. It was good for world tour cyclist so it should be good for you. However this one doesn’t have warranty, so I’d be happy to spend 1200USD or less. As for the size Scott M/L is around 56cm I think.
