That’s how they got started with cyclocross way back when, plus the tires fit so why not!

  2. If it clears the tires why not. I have a mate who races cross on a track bike with 25c tires

  3. I’m pretty sure I saw you taking a picture of this bike as I came home from my ride 20 min ago 😂

  4. I have one bike that does everything; just need 3 sets of tires (gravel, cross, road).

I have podiumed cat 5 cx, top 10’d some local gravel races, and can keep up on some road group rides as long as the average speed isnt much higher than 21 mph and am totally contented by that

Things I’ve used for cyclocross –

    1. Road bike – trek oclv circa 97
    2. Hybrid (univega, I think)
    3. Trek 830
    4. Bridgestone MB0 with drop bars and bar end shifters
    5. GT LTS full suspension bike
    6. Schwinn World Tourist. Though that was a Halloween event and the bike had a sweet freewheeling bottom bracket
    7. Various cyclocross bikes

Cross is fun. Ride what you’ve got.

I have seen a couple of people riding road frames for cross over the years and that was pre-disk brakes even.
