Figured I’d do a full post of the build, though I’m still working out some final touches. Picked this up from a local co-op for $75. The original suspension fork was toast as you’d expect.
The original STX groupset was caked in gunk and needed a lot of scrubbing but works great now, and figured I’d give friction shifting a try while I was at it.
Went with Continental Double Fighters since my commute will be 90% paved greenway and 10% road with debris. We’ll see how puncture resistant they are, but they roll really really well! I see these get used around here now and then, but I’m surprised they’re not more popular than they seem to be.
For now I went with the VO Klunker I had lying around, but I’m still playing around with the cockpit, hence the extra long cable/housing.
