Why wouldn’t you just get a floor stand or is floor space limited in your apartment?

  2. I don’t see how that will cause any damage. You might chip away at the crank arm paint around the pedal getting it in and out. I’ve seen bikes stored all kinds of ways. Gotta remember that you’re putting your weight into those pedals in a number of directions while riding. the bike weighs significantly less and that pedal and crank and bottom bracket can totally handle it. Nice solution. 🤙

Probably fine in “real world application” – however the stress pulling the crank arm laterally just means you need to keep an eye on that crank arm retaining bolt. As long as the crank doesn’t get corroded to induce stress cracking it should be fine

Im not sure if that could cause damage over time. But consider that part of the bike handles a large amount of force when riding, way more than chilling on the wall

Plus, now your bike always looks like it’s doing a sick wall ride!!

bikes are meant to be ridden people! if you can mob it down a bumpy road you can hang it on a wall. what do you honestly think is gonna happen? i am begining to wonder if i am just gullible enough to fall for satire posts or if people are really this scared of everyday life.

Its gonna cause hell damage to your bed when girls or boys come over and see it

  7. Just don’t do this with an oil bath internally geared hub (Alfine, Rohloff) unless you want to find a Jackson Pollock splatter painting underneath it in the morning.

Those look like polymer pedals so I’d periodically check it to make sure it doesn’t crack due to lateral forces.
