  1. Can you slide a seat post or something over the bar to get more leverage?

That thing must be CRAZY TIGHT!

  2. Not by accidently bending the brake disc….

How long did you let the penetrating oil soak?

More lever and push down with the wheel on the tyre vertically as if it were on a bike.

  4. Take the wrench off but leave the socket in place and use an impact gun! might help rattle it loose!

  5. I had a similar one. It drove me crazy

My solution was to use an old chain as a strap across the cassette and screwed both ends of the chain down onto a bench.

This way the cassette just couldn’t move, and so I attached my bar and stood on it.. Came off in seconds

  6. I’ve done it before where I wedged the chain whip handle under something solid that won’t move then put a huge bar on a breaker bar on the cassette tool. Took quite a few tries but eventually came off

  7. Bike mechanic here. You likely need shock to break this one loose rather than pure pulling/pushing force. Try and find somewhere you can have the wheel standing vertically with the chain whip wedged under something immovable so it can’t rotate, then bounce in it with your weight downwards on the ratchet. Failing that, an impact wrench will probably do the job. Take it to your local car garage and ask if they can give it a blast with an impact wrench if your local bike shops don’t have one.

  8. Please dont use a torque wrench as a breaker bar… That is (or was) a calibrated instrument used for tightening.

Put the socket in the vice and turn it by hand comes of so easily just try it thank me later

  10. I wouldn’t use a torque wrench to loosen it, it’ll get destroyed soon or later.
You might put the wheel vertical and have someone hold the chain thingy. You try your best on the other side and give with a hammer some impact.

Not using torque wrench as a breaker bar

People might cringe at this but I once used a 3/4 inch makita impact to break one. Didn’t damage anything and it worked.

  12. Sudden shock to break it loose. That looks like it will need an impact wrench.

You can get manual ones cheap, and it’s possible to deliver more force with them. Smash the back end with a hammer, and it translates that suddenly force into a 90⁰ twist.

For example, not a recommendation. As I don’t know what will be available in your area.

Something tells me you’ll be doing this occasionally.

short and quick forceful pushes on the wrench, try to stand upright to be able to use your body weight

  14. I think There is some Trick where you use an old chain and a wrench or sonething. Check google

Take tool off torque wrench and put in a vice so you can apply the wheel and turn it like a boat captain

Well if it’s a freewheel you won’t get anywhere with that chainwhip. You’ll need a vise.

If it’s a cassette just have someone hold the chainwhip while you use an impact wrench. If you heat it up first it will come off easy
