I think it’s sick and in the summer I’d love to cruise the bmx to work, living in the UK there would definitely be comments about me “riding a kids bike” to work likely behind my back though

  2. Tell your friend it’s a bmx not a bike.
Try buying a bmx at the bike shop.
Try getting your bmx fixed at a bike shop.
That’s what I do when co workers ask why.
You have a better day at work when  you ride. On a normal commute the work mindset starts when you leave home. I don’t even think about work when I ride in till I see it.

  3. I only have a few miles commute to and from work and it’s a mixture of paths, gravelly shit trails and ‘private’ roads which is just roads where posh snobby bastard residents habe taken over and won’t pay for road repairs so they get less traffic down their precious lanes but I ride my bmx for it. Summer winter rain sun or snow.

Theres a few nice spots on the nearby river where its nice to have an after work smoke and the skatepark isn’t a huge deviation from the journey so if I’m ever not completely shit out after work ill sometimes swing by and make sure I go home hurt enough to regret the next day.

I used my first bmx bikes only to commute. Was pretty fun tbh, but after getting a 29″ mtb I will never go back.

I kinda get it because its more fun, but my bmx is set up for tricks.
No breaks, low seat and no lights or reflectors as they would break off. It works for getting around the streets during a session, but being able to sit while pedaling is way more comfortable.

Also I can go way faster as I got bigger wheels and breaks.
