  1. Woah! That was weird. I’m just back home (Suffolk, UK) from having taken my Berlingo to the car wash. My Brompton was in the back so I could ride in to town for a coffee and to get a couple of groceries. I got that exact bag you have as a birthday gift three weeks ago. The bike is around ten years old. Incidentally, I was born and brought up within a very few miles of the Brompton factory.
Anyway, watching your video was like a re-run of the last couple of hours. Not exactly but with overlaps that felt strange…good strange!

  2. It really is a pity that there is no good infrastructure to go to Palmar by bike. You really have to take the big road :/ (although i feel most drivers are quite respectful there)
haha, we really need the paseo pace stickers!! XD

  3. Another chill, party pace, meandering ride and walk😮. New sites, new people, new food and coffee all on a bike.
Thanks for sharing your day of "adventuring".

  4. I bought my first folder (20" wheels) this week to take on vacation to Cape Cod. I'm looking forward to seeing what else I do with it besides vacations.

  5. Worth mentioning that El Palmar is actually part of the city of Valencia and that's why there is a very frequent and cheap municipal bus service to the centre of the city.

  6. Yeah the "traditional" is like rabbit, chicken, green beans and butter beans but there are 100s of recipes, basically "Paella" means pan in Catalan/Valencian and refers to the place where it is cooked, don't listen to "purist" and enjoy nice tasty paella!
My dad used to say "purist" people hasn't been ever to a farm, you cook what you have around.
Very nice to see you guys travel around!

  7. Nice to see you guys Brompt-ing-on. A more off-road-capable folding bike would be some of Birdy's offerings, which can take as much as 20×2.3" tires yet fold only a bit bigger than a Brompton.

    Saludos.
    Juan.

  9. Great video. So glad you guys have adopted the right arm, right turn signal instead of the die hard Nth American crooked left arm High Five (oh by the way I’m turning right) method..😅
So antiquated and ( according to the Canadian Globe & Mail publication Peter Cheney 04.16.2015 ) is also confused with something referred to as the Iberian Slap lol 😆.
May I ask as you guys are actually in Spain, and close to Iberia, you might care to check out the meaning of an Iberian Slap and report back lol.?
Keep on rolling, supple side down guys
    Love these videos 👍🏼

  10. When I was a kid, my uncle used to trap wild rabbits, sometimes hares, when we went to the countryside for a few days. He would go out in the evening to set the traps at spots he knew the animals passed often by, to see if there was a catch in the early morning. Then I remember we would skin and clean the game before adding it straight to the paella. Yum yum.

  11. I think there are in fact Brompton models that are suitable for (mild) off-road riding, with wide gearing and some sort of suspension.

  12. Nice to see you back on Bromptons. Your Brompton travel book got me (77 yr old from Florida) started touring (Scotland 3x, Lofoton Islands, GAP trail, Katy Trail, MO, etc.) using the Brompton. Enjoy Spain.

  13. I'm not from Valencia, so take this with a grain of salt, but I heard that one of the most traditional paella recipes used a rodent (southern water vole – Arvicola sapidus) which is/was common in La Albufera.

  14. Just back from five days gravel touring including those beaches and marshes ! Weird that I get home and the video I watch is this one. Synchronicity ❤

  15. Guys you've got to get in touch with Kinetics in Scotland, bike shop in Glasgow that has conversion kits for Bromptons such as the MTBrompton, disk breaks, belt drive etc etc. only a short flight to Glasgow from Barcelona and cheap flights usually with carriers like Ryanair

  16. Thanks! This is for wearing those party pace hats! I ride the local rail trails on a slightly modified comfort bike with a hat similar to Russ's and suffer the condescending looks from the lycra crew. I think they do cut me some slack though because I have a nice white beard. I don't get any comments.😊
