    Look at the person selling the bike. Ask basic question like where they purchased it and how much new. Shouldnโ€™t be hard to figure out.

    If your worried, I would ask them to share proof of purchase, or the shop/date they purchased it. Something you can independently verify.

    Another one might be a frame Serial Number you could check with Cannondale themselves.

    Thereโ€™s usually a sticker on the bottom seat post or front post with the serial number, size, and manufacturer. Look for that. Or ask the seller to show it. I usually ask for it to get the actual bike size because โ€œpictures can be deceivingโ€.

    Explain to me why someone (customer or manufacturer) would go through the trouble of making a fake Cannondale?
