Been lurking in this subreddit for a while, the advice that always pops up is to do a test-trip first, before taking on your big goal. My big goal would be a multiple week bike trip through europe.
Anyway, I did my first 3 day trip last week. It went pretty well, but I did indeed learn a lot. My bike packing skills improved each day, I learned not to be dependend on services (had to do two ferries, first one was OK, second one wasn’t operating, so had to do a detour to the nearest bridge 15km away). I need to take my own soap, my skin doesn’t deal well with those cheap soaps you get for free with your room. And a bunch of other thing.
I’m just a bit worried about food, I took some with me, but for multiple weeks this is just impossible to do, and I didn’t find it easy to get good bike-portable food in supermarkets along the way (so I was happy to have my own food with me). I would appreciate some feeding strategies, also for example on sundays, a lot of shops will be closed, so it’s even harder to find food.

Why is your bicycle pedal not the standard look? Is this the mountain bike pedal?

Nice setup! Which trek is that? I got the SLR Checkpoint and it’s ok. I like it but feels like it’s sluggish on pavement even after putting on some gravel kings SS 700×45. What bags you running? I really like the look of those. Also what’s that on the bottom of your down tube?

You could always add a pannier rack and take more food items, small stove etc
